“Dancing with the Stars” co-host Julianne Hough wants everyone to know that health, fitness and wellness should be at the top of everyone’s to-do list. “It’s all about the balancing act of prioritizing yourself and your needs mentally, emotionally and physically,” she says.

As a new strategic brand partner and investor of Blender Bites, Hough is thrilled that the Canadian-based one-step frozen beverage has hit stateside Walmart stores and other retailers. “I truly feel that convenient and better-for-you options should be affordable for everyone,” she says. “I love that products like Blender Bites are no longer just found at high-end organic retailers.” (She adds that she’ll be collaborating with the company’s founder and CEO, Chelsie Hodge, in the creation and development of new products.)

Sipping a nutritional smoothie is just part of Hough’s daily self-care routine. The professional dancer also finds time to squeeze in a morning workout and take a quiet moment for herself. After that? “I’m ready to start my day and hit [the] ground running on the [“DWTS”] set, at rehearsals and more.” She also adds that before falling asleep, she thinks of five things she’s thankful for and encourages others to do the same. “Life is so much more rewarding when you have gratitude and kindness,” she says.

Ahead, Hough shares her everyday essentials with CNN Underscored.

“I am a huge fan of sleeping masks,” says Hough, who loves this soft mulberry silk one. “It helps me fall asleep and stay asleep because it blocks out any light through the night and morning,” she says. “I wake up feeling rejuvenated.”

Hough always keeps this no-frills lip balm — infused with cocoa butter and vitamin E — on hand. “It’s my essential on-the-go product,” she says. She notes its SPF 15 “is a must as I am always out and about in the sun!”

Cheers! “There’s nothing better than enjoying a glass of wine with friends after a long day,” says Hough, who also co-owns Fresh Vine Wines with actress Nina Dobrev. She pairs the wine with these high-end, dishwasher-safe glasses — which “come in so many shapes and sizes.” This tasting set contains four glasses suited for cabernet, pinot noir, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay.

Hough is quite literally always on the move in these classic sneakers, which feature a breathable mesh and a soft “crash pad” heel. “They’re so cute and extremely comfortable,” she says.

All that glam TV time takes a toll on Hough’s skin. “With ‘DWTS,’ I am in makeup so often and I build up a sweat from working out and dancing,” she says. This gentle cleanser helps big-time as it dissolves impurities and moisturizes her skin, leaving her face feeling refreshed and bright. “I love the feeling of having clean, nourished skin to start and end my day,” she says.

With the push of a button, this compact electric massage therapy device eases discomfort and soothes tightness and tension. “I am constantly moving my body, and this gives me the relief I need to allow my muscles to recover and heal,” she says. (She also uses the masklike TheraFace to improve firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines.)

These classic straight-fit pants “are not too tight or too baggy,” Hough says. She adds that the versatile light-wash denim can be “dressed up or down” with an appropriately cute day or nighttime outfit.

Not only is this vitamin-enriched frozen blend of fruits and vegetables nutritious but Hough says that “it’s quick and super easy to make.” Indeed, only a liquid of choice and a blender are required. The solid mixes — which resemble hockey pucks — are also available in five flavors, including Tropical Glow and Green D-Tox.
