Window World at a glance
Although newer to the window industry, Window World offers affordable and customizable windows. It ranks among our list of the best window replacement and installation companies.

What we like
Window World’s suite of products is extensive. It includes many customizable options, including 20 exterior colors (not for every model), multiple privacy glass choices and several grid configurations. We especially like that its vinyl windows are more affordable than most and prioritize energy efficiency, which saves you more money on energy costs.
What we don’t like
Though Window World offers a comprehensive lifetime limited warranty for its windows, certain restrictions and limitations may apply. These limits vary and may depend on the management team at your nearest Window World store, making it more challenging to know what is and isn’t covered.
*BBB ratings are accurate as of September 2024.
Window World pros and cons

What services does Window World offer?
Window World offers a large range of window types, including folding windows and corner windows. All its windows are custom-made for your home. However, the only window material available is vinyl.
The most surprising thing that Window World doesn’t have is window screens. Its online limited lifetime warranty doesn’t include window screens as a covered item, and my secret shopping and research confirmed that this provider excludes them from its warranty coverage.
You can use Window World’s unique visualizer tool, which allows you to upload a photo of your home or use a sample image and design a new look with different windows or doors. Our team found the visualizer tool user-friendly and helpful when considering different window types and colors on the exterior of your house.

Window World customization and add-ons
Color
Window World’s windows are custom-made and available in many color options. For example, if you buy double-hung windows, you can choose 12 interior and 20 exterior colors.
You can also select from multiple privacy glass options, like tinted or obscure glass, and several grid configurations. A Window World representative will provide custom pricing during your in-home or virtual consultation.
Specialty designs
Window World sells unique architectural-shaped windows that create a dramatic accent to any room. You can choose from circles, circle tops, eyebrows, octagons, hexagons, ovals and many other distinctive designs that you won’t find with many window providers.
These custom-made windows require an in-home consultation with a Window World representative to get a specific quote for your home.
What does Window World not cover?
Window World doesn’t offer many window framing materials. It exclusively sells vinyl windows, so if you’re interested in fiberglass, wood, aluminum or Fibrex windows, you’ll need to look at other providers.
Another important feature to know is the company’s transferable warranty. Transferring the window or patio door warranty to the next homeowner can increase the value of your home to prospective buyers.
Window World must receive the warranty transfer form and transfer fee within 30 days of your home’s sale. Certain restrictions and limitations may apply based on your nearest Window World store, so call them first before including the window warranty as a perk for the next home buyer.
How much does Window World cost?

Savings and discounts
Window World frequently advertises window replacement deals. At the time of writing, Window World of Ocala, Florida, advertised hurricane-rated, double-hung windows starting at $385. The same location listed a deal to replace all windows in a home, with six hurricane-rated windows installed for $126 a month for two years.
Window World customer service and experience
Window World provides an information-packed page with frequently asked questions (FAQs), a robust blog and a live chat. You can access customer support by calling or visiting a local location for more personal service.
pro tip
- Use the Window World savings calculator to calculate your energy savings with replacement windows.
I called multiple Window World locations and rarely waited more than a minute to be connected to a representative — exemplary response time. However, we found that the friendly and professional representatives couldn’t provide much specific information over the phone. Most information is provided during in-home or virtual consultations, so keep this in mind when calling.
I found Window World’s live chat unhelpful. When I asked a question, I was prompted to give my information so an office could contact us. The live chat didn’t help with any questions on its own, which is disappointing since many of the questions were straightforward.
Most Window World reviews are positive. The following reviews are mostly positive, but demonstrate some of the provider’s cons to keep this Window World review as unbiased as possible.
Understanding Window World’s installation process
A representative will contact you after your Window World consultation to schedule an installation appointment, then follow these steps:
- Remove curtains, blinds or window treatments to prepare your home for window installation. If you have security sensors, please remove or turn them off. Window World experts also recommend removing wall decorations close to your windows to prevent them from falling.
- Your installation expert will assess your home and explain the installation process, answering questions such as whether the expert will install the windows from the inside or outside — most installation experts install the windows from the outside.
- After installing the windows, the technicians will remove all old windows from your property. If you want to keep your old windows for any reason, let the installation crew know this as soon as they arrive.
Typically, each window takes about 30 minutes to install, but installation time depends on the type of window, trim work and cleanup required. If you have many replacement windows, expect the average job to take an entire day.
Window World, Inc. vs. competitors
pro tip
- If you live on the East Coast, Harvey Windows is another excellent choice. It has over 60 years of experience serving East Coast homeowners and curates its windows for optimal performance in these areas. However, Harvey Windows can’t match the customization and color options that Window World offers.
With its established line of impact windows and doors, Window World is ideal for homeowners in coastal regions and inclement weather zones. Window World may also be a strong option for energy-efficient, budget-friendly vinyl replacement windows.
In contrast, Andersen Windows is a better choice if you want other materials like classic wood or maintenance-free aluminum windows. Andersen even offers an exclusive Fibrex window material. Fibrex is a custom composite material that is twice as strong as vinyl and ideal for areas with extreme temperatures.
