Pantone recently announced its 2024 Color of the Year, and in response, experts are giving the pastel hue dubbed “Peach Fuzz” a big nod of approval. We spoke to various interior designers to get their thoughts on the color and tips on how to incorporate it into your home.

“Peach is an excellent choice for home decor due to its versatile nature, effortlessly blending vintage charm with a modern touch,” says Jungalow designer and author Justina Blakeney (also the woman behind Target’s Opalhouse Designed With Jungalow line). “I particularly appreciate its ability to infuse a space with a soothing vibe, adding personality without overwhelming other elements in the room.”

Claudia Afshar of Claudia Afshar Luxury Interiors says, “Peach Fuzz is a warm and subtle hue that can bring a sense of comfort and tranquility to a space. It has a soft, gentle quality that works well in creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, and its versatility allows it to pair seamlessly with other colors, making it an excellent choice for those who want to add a touch of warmth without overwhelming the overall aesthetic.”

And according to Farrow & Ball brand ambassador Patrick O’Donnell, it’s high time we embrace such a happy color. “We all fell in love with more somber, earthy pinks at the beginning of the pandemic, and for good reason: They delivered a nostalgic warmth. These richer, more vibrant peach tones deliver much of the same sentiment, but with added optimistic dynamism.”

How to infuse Peach Fuzz into your home

A pastel nestled somewhere in between the land of pink and orange, Peach Fuzz can be incorporated into your home in two ways: sparingly … or not sparingly, depending on how adventurous you are. “Peach Fuzz is a great accent color or it can be applied to drench a room in warmth,” says Kristen Fiore of Kristen Elizabeth Design. “It is easy to incorporate subtly into existing room decor with accents such as area rugs and throw blankets.” In a recent project, Fiore opted for the sparing approach by adding these peachy kitchen stools to a client’s kitchen island, adding a pretty pop of color to an otherwise monochromatic space.

Speaking of “drenching,” it’s a major home decor trend right now and one that could easily be done in a Peach Fuzz-inspired paint. “The concept of ‘color-drenching’ is saturating all your surfaces in one color,” says O’Donnell. “You can create textural details with different finishes — use eggshell for trim and emulsion for walls. It’s a great approach when you have lots of decorative detail in a room, such as chair rails and crown molding, as all of the architectural elements will still register without creating any distracting horizontals.”

A great example of drenching can be seen in an ultra-modern bathroom that Afshar recently designed with her new Dekton Ukiyo collection of indoor/outdoor fluted stone. Chock full of texture, Ukiyo includes a peachy-hued “umber” colorway, which Afshar applied from floor to ceiling. “The rich and earthy tones of umber allowed me to curate a space that was inviting and interesting,” she says, adding that the stone can literally be used anywhere — including fireplaces, kitchen islands, cabinetry and beyond.

But if cost is top of mind — and a room full of fluted stone is not an option — you can easily get your Pantone Color of the Year fix on a budget, too. “A pair of lamps is a great way to incorporate Peach Fuzz into an existing bedroom or living room,” says designer Katharine Rhudy of Reed & Acanthus Interior Design. “Complete the look by adding pillow shams to the bed or patterned accent pillows to the sofas.”

You definitely aren’t limited to bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms, though. “Peach is a sweet pastel that can be incorporated in a nursery or child’s bedroom through an accent wall, drapery or an area rug,” says Amber Guyton of Blessed Little Bungalow.

Ahead, we’ve rounded up our favorite Peach Fuzz-inspired picks for the home, from accent décor like ginger jars and artwork to all-encompassing options like paint and wallpaper. Some are more pink while others are more orange, but rest assured that all these products will help you incorporate some of the warm, earthy hue into your home.

Peach Fuzz-inspired home decor

Let’s make a New Year’s resolution to banish bare tissue boxes, shall we? Luckily, this viral Amazon cover gets the job done. The faux leather cover comes in more than a dozen colors (including a peachy pink) and immediately turns a basic tissue box into a chic style element in a room.

One of the best collaborations to come about in years, the Chris Loves Julia x Loloi collection of area rugs is full of great options for every room in your house, from high-traffic entryways to high-design formal living rooms. We love the Jules because it’s super-smooth underfoot and made from a 100% polyester pile, which is durable enough to handle pets and kids. Available in a dozen sizes and a slew of patterns, the “tangerine/mist” option offers an understated take on Peach Fuzz.

If you’ve never treated yourself to a night’s sleep on Cozy Earth’s sheets, now is the time. Made with viscose from bamboo (which is great for hot sleepers), these are bound to be the softest, silkiest sheets you’ve ever felt. The Clay color reminds us of Peach Fuzz.

If you have a room that needs reinvigorating, give it the ultimate cocooning effect by drenching it in Farrow & Ball’s pale orange paint, which is inspired by the shade of terracotta pots and tiles baked under the California sun. “This paint is a great way of bringing a subliminal warmth to more poorly lit spaces,” says O’Donnell. “It’s great for bathrooms, too, as the color flatters one’s complexion.”

Minted makes filling your walls with beautiful art easy thanks to a slew of sizes, frames and finishes at various prices. We love all the peach and pink hues in this Splendor print from Connecticut-based artist Jess Franks, who is one of the many Minted artists who allow shoppers to customize her work by zooming, rotating, cropping or changing colors to make it a truly unique piece.

As part of a collaboration with Pantone, Spoonflower commissioned three of its independent artists to create new Peach Fuzz-focused designs, all of which can be printed on demand onto wallpaper, fabric or home decor. Our top pick is the Deco Peacock print by Dani_Dazey, which can also be put on linen cocktail napkins, duvet covers, wallpaper and more.

If you are adamant about injecting the exact shade of Peach Fuzz into your home, Ruggable has got you covered. The machine-washable rug brand partnered with Pantone this year on a collection of rugs and mats featuring Peach Fuzz, which includes this cheery welcome mat that is the perfect pop of color to greet your guests. Comprised of heavy-duty bristles that trap dirt and mud, the cover is removable and can be thrown in the washing machine when dirty; it lies on top of a durable rubber mat that has built-in drainage and nonslip treads underneath.

If you’re looking for a pendant lamp that packs a major punch of style, we found it. With a hand-finished ceramic shade, this pendant light comes in multiple finishes and colors (including the pinkish-peach Gloss Blush), and it’s dimmable to boot.

There’s nothing better than an ultra-soft blanket and this one from Target brand Room Essentials is just that. Perfect for layering on your bed on chilly nights or draping over your sofa, the cozy throw comes in a blush peach option as well as twin/twin XL and full/queen sizes.

Pretty much everything Afloral churns out is guaranteed to elevate your space, and that includes this gorgeous bundle of faux ranunculus that are designed to look and feel like the real thing. Coming in around 21 inches tall, the bundle includes five peach-hued stems that can be bent or trimmed to fit your space.

Easy, breezy and affordable, these semi-sheer linen curtains provide just enough privacy while also letting lots of light seep into a room. “Consider incorporating sheer window treatments in Peach Fuzz tones to enhance the glowy and gentle ambiance,” says Afshar. “The drapery not only adds a touch of elegance but also allows the interplay of light, contributing to a serene and cozy feel.” Available in plenty of colors (including Peach) and sizes, the curtain panels are easily hung via monochromatic linen ties.

Beloved by renters and homeowners alike, peel-and-stick wallpaper offers all the perks of the old-school format, with none of the long-term commitment. This option from York Wallcoverings, the oldest and largest wallcovering company in the United States, offers a subtle nod to Peach Fuzz via those sweet flower buds while also incorporating other neutrals. “Choosing a wallpaper with subtle peach patterns can create a focal point in a room, without overwhelming the space,” says Monika Nessbach of Designbar.

A quick and affordable way to zhush a lackluster piece of furniture is by swapping in some showstopping knobs, like this set from Anthropologie. Combining peach glass and brass details, the knobs have an old-world vibe that will go a long way toward making your piece look more expensive than it is.

This 28-by-26-inch landscape is the perfect focal point for your blank wall. Part of the Four Hands Art Studio — a curated collection of works from independent artists that are then framed by craftsmen in Austin, Texas — artist Kelly Colchin channels every hue of peach in her depiction of a sun-drenched mountain range. We love the contrasting gray/navy matte and how the honey tone of the frame highlights the artwork itself.

One can never have too many lamps, and Rhudy suggests investing in a set. “Place this lamp on a pair of nightstands or end tables,” she suggests. Coming in at 28 inches tall and 19 inches wide, this glossy peach option is accented by a brass base and a white linen drum shade.

Handcrafted in the Philippines from terracotta clay, this bulbous bowl from Arhaus is perfect for corralling keys in your entryway or serving as a vintage-like treasure on a bookshelf in your living room. The three-footed bowl could also be used as a planter.

Peach Fuzz-inspired entertaining essentials

Set a sophisticated table with these beautiful French linen placemats from Year & Day. They're available in three patterns, but the warm Canyon colorway is bursting with Peach Fuzz hues. The 13-by-18-inch place mats add the perfect pop of color under neutral plates. We love that they’re machine-washable and can be ironed (or not) to achieve a crisp appearance. Well known for its ceramics, Year & Day also makes a 16-piece Core Set that comes in a perfectly peach color dubbed Daybreak.

Ditch your disposable cups and invest in this set of outdoor wine glasses from Fortessa. Available in red and white wine versions, the glasses are made from a shatterproof material that's dishwasher-safe. While all four colors are lovely in their own right, the orange-y Amber hue is perfect for anyone looking to add a pop of Peach Fuzz to their outdoor entertaining game.

Known for its viral Always Pan, Our Place is far more than a one-hit wonder. Case in point: The brand’s genius “tableware ecosystem” wherein everything is stacking or nesting. Made from glazed ceramic, the ultra-durable 12-piece set comes in four colors (including the peachy-pink Spice hue) and is microwave- and oven-safe up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit — perfect for reheating leftovers. For those who love to entertain, coordinating serveware is also available.

Game night, but make it fashion! Mark & Graham has done just that with its treasure trove of chic game sets, from rummy tile to checkers. One of our favorites is this raffia-swathed backgammon set that is pretty enough to sit out on your coffee table or bookshelf 24/7. Once opened, you’ll spy a pop of peach via leather detailing.

A surefire way to up the drama factor in your dining room is via a set of candlesticks. This glass option from ABC Carpet & Home has details evoking Roman columns (hence the name) and is awash in a light peachy-pink tint for a more neutral take on the Color of the Year. Add a couple of tapered candles and your night just got a whole lot more romantic.

All things chinoiserie are trending right now, and that includes ginger jars. Part of Frontgate’s Coral Ming Ceramic Collection, this cute little ceramic jar features hand-painted, coral-hued motifs from the Ming Dynasty — and it has a removable lid.

Peach Fuzz-inspired furniture and appliances

If there were ever to be a viral ottoman, this would be it. Undulating in design and malleable to pretty much every aesthetic, this channel-tufted ottoman is beloved by designers like Erin Gates not only for its price but also because of its usefulness in providing extra seating. The light brown velvet color is chock full of Peach Fuzz vibes and looks great in a pair of two tucked under a console table.

Peach- and pink-hued seating was already having a moment before Pantone announced its Color of the Year. One of our favorite options is the modular Tatum line from Interior Define, which ranges from a petite loveseat to a sprawling pit sectional. Available in more than 130 fabrics — including the peachy Coral performance velvet — the Tatum sectional is perfect for lounging thanks to its deep 37-inch seat.

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Kohler released the Heritage Colors Collection, which includes Peachblow, a hue originally introduced back in 1934. Available in everything from a claw-footed freestanding bathtub to a farmhouse sink, the color is meant to act as a modern neutral for the home — something endorsed by Blakeney, who is the brand's color ambassador. “White is almost always used as a default in bathrooms, so I love how colored fixtures, especially Kohler’s Peachblow offerings, allow for more freedom and fun to be creative and intentional around color palettes in the bathroom,” she says. We love the Memoirs Stately Toilet, which adds the perfect pop in Blakeney's bold bathroom.
