As someone who recently bought their very first apartment and is attempting to furnish it, there’s nothing to make you lose all hope of having an Instagram-worthy crib than the cost of furniture. Fortunately, a lot of what makes a home is in the details, and the right home decor can do a lot to elevate a space, without costing you an arm and a leg.
We consulted the home influencers and content creators constantly flooding our feeds with perfectly curated rooms to find out what Amazon home decor pieces they actually recommend. From chic pillowcase covers to the perfect accent rug, these home decor essentials are just what you need to upgrade your home.
“The first time I saw this fruit bowl, I thought for sure it was high-end and would be so expensive,” says interior designer and creative director Arianna Danielson. “I've never added something to my cart so fast.” Kirkpatrick is also a fan: “Not only is it a beautiful centerpiece but it’s also super convenient to have your fruit organized and on hand,” she says. “I’ve had this in my kitchen for about a year now, and it is a compliment magnet.”
“I’ve always looked for ways to elevate everything in my house,” Andres says. “So when I saw these shot glasses made of green onyx marble, I knew I had to have them. Because the stone is natural, each piece is one of a kind and of extremely excellent quality.” They also come in White Onyx.
Scheppers describes this adorable lamp as “perfect for a desk, nightstand or console table and an absolute steal” for its price. He recommends using a warm white light bulb “for an amber glow.”
Candle warmers are very trendy these days, but they’re actually pretty practical: They help your candles last longer, and they don’t require an open flame. Cassandra Kirkpatrick, an interior decorator and content creator, recommends this one. “It’s gorgeous and you can control the melting speed,” she says. “The brighter you set it, the faster the candle melts.”
“These stone trays look super high-end and are the perfect versatile decor piece for any room,” says Cody Scheppers, a content creator, interior decorator and one half of the Highboy LA team. “Marble and travertine items can be expensive, so this price is a steal for the quality,” he says. The tray is perfect for holding everything from keys to remotes to jewelry and more — the list goes on!
Kimberly Anne Tish, a fashion and lifestyle content creator, calls this magazine rack an “aesthetic yet functional” piece of decor. “I would recommend it for smaller spaces, maximizing vertical storage,” she says. “My favorite color options are clear, offering a clean minimalist vibe, and orange, which gives off a colorful midcentury modern industrial space.”
“I spend a lot of time thinking about coffee tables,” says content creator and interior stylist Imani Keal, “because they can get so expensive so quickly.” She ended up falling in love with one that cost nearly $800, so decided to search out a more affordable option with a similar look. “The design is simplified a bit,” she says, “but the overall style and functionality is there.” She recommends styling with two or three stacked books, a floral arrangement and a candle.
“If you’re into a modern minimalist vibe, this lamp is definitely for you,” says Sage Phillips, a home influencer and content creator. “It casts a warm, cozy glow that’s sure to make any room more inviting.”
“These frames are my absolute favorite Amazon find,” says Katelyn Sailor, a home influencer and content creator. “They are such excellent quality and look so good in person,” she says. “I have them all over my home.”
“There’s no better deal on the internet than these blackout velvet curtains,” says New England-based home and crafting content creator Marissa Zingg. “With so many earthy, rich colors to choose from,” she says, “they translate effortlessly to any room.” Sailor recommends this similar option, which she has in her living room. “I always get asked if they’re custom,” she says. “They’re a great find and look way more expensive than they actually are.”
Marco Zamora, an interior decorator and content creator, recommends this chic ceramic tray as a perfect accent for any console table.
“These colored [candlestick holders] are the perfect addition to any dining table [or] mantel,” says interior designer and home and lifestyle content Amber Guyton. You could also style them on surfaces like bookcases, shelves and dressers, Guyton suggests.
“This mirror is super heavy and really great quality,” says Katie Falbo, interior decorator and the other half of the Highboy LA team. “We’ve used it in one of our client’s homes and would definitely purchase it again to use in our own home,” she says. “It’s full-length, and the fabric on the tufted trim is soft and looks so nice.”
Falbo recommends this piece if you’re hoping to get your hands on the popular mushroom-shaped lamp design for less. “The orange is bold, and at night, it creates the best warm glow,” she says. “It’s a great piece if you’re looking to add that pop of color.”
Zamora calls these “the perfect accent” for any kitchen. Not only do they add a touch of a modern design, but he says they’re also “great for displaying decor and accessories.”
“Swapping out pillow covers is one of my favorite ways to refresh my home with the changing of the seasons,” says home decor content creator Chelsea Zeferina, “but I’m always shocked by how expensive they can be. These scalloped pillows look like they’re designer but at a fraction of a cost.” Another option we love? These velvet pillow covers that Danielson owns.
“I wanted to invest in a fancy silverware set for my home, but I couldn’t stomach spending over $200 on forks and spoons,” Zeferina says. “A few months ago I opted for this set instead and have been so impressed with the overall look and durability.” Digital creator and interior decorator Maitri Mody is also a fan, sharing that she’s been using this set in the gingham print option for the past three years. “They always get compliments from guests as well as my followers on social media,” she says.
“This tree comes in multiple sizes and is incredibly realistic,” says interior and home content creator Maddie Andres. “It seems so lifelike because the leaves and branches are the ideal shade of muted green rather than a bright green.” Guyton also recommends this artificial olive tree. “Faux trees are a great accessory for any space, especially a corner in a living room,” she says. “Stick one of these in a beautiful planter, and it will completely elevate the room.”
Loi Kae Doan, an interior decorator and content creator, recommends this practical and budget-friendly coat rack. “Positioned in your entranceway, it ensures your outerwear stays organized and easily accessible,” he says, “adding both functionality and style to your space.”
“I have been living in pre-war-style rental apartments for the past few years, and the kitchens were always outdated,” Mody says. “I used this marble-finish contact paper in my last kitchen, and it instantly elevated my space. It was hard to tell that it wasn’t real marble.”
Phillips loves how these framed pieces of art “add a dash of elegance and a hint of vintage charm” to any space. “Whether you love scenic landscapes, floral designs or classic vintage looks, there’s something to match everyone’s taste,” she says.
“Adding a bedside carafe to my nightstand was life-changing,” Kirkpatrick says. “Not only is it gorgeous, it has made it so much easier for me to stay hydrated in the mornings and evenings. It comes in multiple colorways, and the art-deco design is a beautiful mix of vintage and modern.”
Danielson describes this funky rug as her go-to for when a space just needs an extra little bit of oomph. “It’s great for layering over larger rugs or throwing under a small desk or vanity,” she says.
“I will never not love a good vase, and this is one of the best,” says home stylist and content creator Lowe Saddler. “It elevates any simple bouquet of flowers perfectly.” She adds that it’s also a great option for gifting, given that “it works with so many different decor styles.”
Mody loves the quality and design of this cup and saucer set. “I’ve been using it for the past two to three years, and it looks so expensive and stylish,” she says. “I love having it on my coffee bar or even displaying it on a stack of books on a shelf.”
“I’m obsessed with this wall fan and have used it in a couple different colors for various projects,” Danielson says. It’s easy to get up, she explains, and is “simple but impactful at the same time.”
“This vase is one of my best Amazon purchases,” Andres says. “I tend to gravitate more towards moody decor, and this vase would be perfect for those who love dark but organic pieces. It’s really excellent quality, has just the right amount of texture and looks incredibly expensive.”
“This is a great example of a piece that looks way more expensive than it is,” Kirkpatrick says. “Similar coffee tables from other retailers cost over $1,000.” She adds that “the design of this coffee table is a great blend of organic and modern, making it the perfect statement piece for your living room.”
“There’s nothing like a statement tea kettle for your stovetop,” Zeferina says. “This kettle is just the right size for one or two cups of tea and has an adjustable handle that makes it easy to add water,” she adds. “No one will ever believe you bought this on Amazon!”
Phillips recommends this rechargeable picture light as the perfect way to add that luxury feel to your decor without having to spend a lot. “It has a classy gold finish and features like adjustable brightness and an auto-off timer,” she says, “making it super convenient to highlight your favorite art or family photos.”
“I never thought I could love a blanket so much,” Zeferina says. “It’s so soft and slightly weighted, it really feels much more expensive than it is. Every night, I look forward to cuddling up with it when I watch TV.”
Zingg admits she was initially skeptical about stained glass window decals, but was quickly won over by its visual impact. “These 100% removable decals can transform windows into the elegance of stained glass,” she says, adding that they’re best paired with some solid black line decals.
Guyton recommends this set of vases as a great way to “bring style to any surface or bookcase,” with similar options from popular brands costing far more. “Think of adding this to a space with the ‘rule of three’ in mind,” she says. “Combined with a stack of books, candle or antique figurine.”
“I’ve been a huge fan of the designer Anya Hindmarch for years and love her designs with googly eyes,” Mody says. “These jars look very designer-chic and way more expensive than they actually are. I have used them as a set on my coffee station, to hold coffee beans, grounds and sugar.”
“This is one of my favorite coffee-table books,” Zamora says. “The book is easy to style, and the pages are filled with beautiful images and endless design inspiration.”
“During a recent renovation, I used this brass switch plate cover to update the single plug in my bathroom,” says Keal, who was replacing a basic white switch plate. “From a design perspective, switching out the outlets and covers is a great way to make a space feel new,” she adds, “as they tend to yellow over time and can look dingy after a while.”
“Everyone wants tiled checkerboard marble floors, but the price isn’t always accessible,” Keal says, “especially when you’re a renter like me.” She opts for these peel-and-stick floor tiles, which were used in a recent kitchen makeover to get that luxe marble look. “I have a small kitchen, so I was able to do this DIY for under $150 and it took four hours,” she shares. “If I would have used real tiles, the price would have been closer to $1,000 and taken way longer.”
“I love a good tiny lamp, and this one looks so fun and retro,” Danielson says. “I get so many compliments on this piece, and people always just assume it’s vintage.” She adds that it’s perfect for styling on a desktop or countertop.
In addition to functioning as a watering can, this orange juice carton is also a charming flower vase. “Its versatility adds a creative and practical touch to your home,” Doan says, “making it a standout piece for both gardening and decor purposes.”
“Finding curtains that look good without being too pricey can be tricky,” Saddler says. “Usually, it’s the material that gives them away, but these are some of the best.” Even after purchasing more expensive real linen options, she comes back to this pair: “They also filter light so beautifully."
Sailor calls these faux tulips one of her favorite affordable finds. “They are so realistic looking,” she says, “and inexpensive enough to have multiple colors to switch out.”
“Marble trays are one item that I’ve discovered Amazon excels at,” Andres says, adding that they’re super versatile, and this option looks particularly nice in person. You can use it as a cheese board or as a tray in the bathroom, kitchen or bedroom.
