It’s holiday gifting season, so as a beauty editor, I’ve spent literal hours thinking about the best beauty gift ideas, reflecting on the products I personally use day in and day out, and contemplating which ones are truly worth it. After all this consideration, I’ve settled on the 25 products below. Including an assortment of skin care, hair care, makeup and more, these are beauty gifts that have wowed me — especially considering they’re all under $100. Some I’ve used for years, some are brand-new launches and some have such great value, it’s hard not to pass them up for the holidays. From holy-grail skin care to glamorous eye shadow palettes, nifty hair tools to delicious fragrances, peruse my picks below for the most thoughtful (and useful) beauty gifts.

Skin care gifts

Skin care is truly a ritual for me, so I take my skin care recommendations very seriously. These value sets and standout products are sure to upgrade anyone’s routine and give glowing results too.

For kissable lips

I have a tube of the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in all my bags and the famous Lip Sleeping Mask on my bedside table. They're both yummy and hydrating without feeling thick or sticky. This limited-edition set includes Candy Cane and Peppermint flavors. I'm planning on grabbing this holiday set for an under-$25 White Elephant gift this year.

For an at-home spa day

On any given Sunday night you can find me doing gua sha, a face mask and LED light therapy. It's my way to unwind and savor some relaxation before Monday comes again. K-beauty brand Dr. Jart+ makes some of my favorite face masks for my ritual, and this set allows you to stock up on a bunch and try a variety all at once. The Cryo Rubber Moisture Mask is absolutely top notch for saving dry skin.

For dry skin

Kiehl's makes solid skin care, including my all-time favorite holy-grail moisturizer, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. With this set, you get a full size of the stuff (which retails for $39 on its own), plus travel sizes of a hydrating face mask, avocado eye cream and gentle face cleanser. The formulas are easy on the skin and focus on restoring moisture, so this set would be great for someone with dry skin or even a nice introduction to a beginner-friendly skin care routine.

For glossy, hydrated lips

I'm all for multitasking beauty products, and this luxe lip balm doubles as a lip gloss. You're pretty much guaranteed to find any beauty editor carrying a tube. It comes in yummy flavors and even some pretty tinted shades too. I love the sheer, red Cherry for the holidays, and you can't go wrong with plain ol' Vanilla.

For acne-prone skin

A cute skin care gift for teens or anyone who battles the occasional breakout, these star-shaped pimple patches have made it cool to simultaneously cover up and embrace your zits — all while helping them go away faster.

For super-soft skin all over

This body butter is such a pleasure to apply — I've emptied multiple jars of the stuff. It's rich but not heavy and has such a bright, cheery citrus scent. I would gladly take the a big jar of it as a gift, but if you want something with more variety, OSEA's Bestsellers Bodycare Set includes the smaller jar of this lotion and travel sizes of some of my other favorites, like the Undaria Algae Body Oil.

Makeup gifts

From pretty blush to natural-looking brow products, these gifts include some of the best makeup I’ve tested this year. They each make great presents on their own, or you could put them inside a cute makeup bag for a true beauty lover.

For feeling glam

Last year's Beautyverse palette became one of my most-used makeup products, and I'm jazzed to see it make a return with even more stunning shades. The nine-shade palette has a mix of shimmery and matte eye shadows. They give amazing color payoff, and they're so easy to blend — I usually just use my fingers.

For a gift that truly wows, I also recommend Charlotte Tilbury's version of a beauty Advent calendar, which is pricey at $220 but filled to the brim with products that you'll use up entirely.

For the makeup lover on the move

For a super gift with a small footprint, this travel-friendly set of sustainable makeup brushes is absolutely adorable. They're so easy to throw into my work or gym bag on days when I need to do my makeup on the go. Besides the soft bristles, my favorite part is that the handles are weighted so they feel substantial and keep you in control.

For everyday makeup

Clinique's viral Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is one of those products that looks amazing on anyone. It gives a flattering wash of color that works with all skin tones. This set includes a travel-size of the bestselling shade and a liquid liner, as well as a full-size volumizing mascara to complete your everyday makeup look.

For top-notch brows

Great eyebrows are the key to my daily no-makeup makeup look, and these are the two products you need to get the job done. Merit's tinted brow gel is the perfect consistency for holding and shaping the hairs, while the small spoolie expertly distributes the product. After I go in with the gel, I'll fill in any sparse areas with the brow pencil; it's tiny tip is ultra precise. With the duo, you'll save four bucks.

For a personalized set

I love the value of this customizable Kosas set. You can choose the desired shade of each product and save some money (it has a $77 value) in the process. Including my favorite powder blush formula, a creamy eyeliner and glossy lipstick, you'll have all the essentials for taking your look up a notch.

For healthy lashes and brows

This lash and brow kit comes with travel sizes of Grande Cosmetics' bestselling lash growth serum and brow serum, and a full size of my favorite brow lamination gel and application spoolie/brush. Plus, the bedazzled details add such a fun and festive touch for the holidays.

For the makeup artist in the making

Beauty icon Bobbi Brown knocked it out of the park with the Jones Road makeup brushes. Don't get be wrong: The makeup is great too. But these are the beauty tools I reach for most often. The Bronzer Brush and Blush Brush are my favorites of the bunch. They pick up just the right amount of product and create a seamless blend every time. If you gift a brush (or two or three) it would be a thoughtful touch to create your own makeup gift set by coupling the brushes with their intended Jones Road products too.

Hair care gifts

While products like the K18 hair mask and Olaplex No. 7 hair oil will always make great gifts, I’m focusing on hair accessories and tools this year. These gifts work with any and all hair types, so you don’t have to worry about looking at formulas or diagnosing the hair care needs of your loved ones.

For healthier hair

Yes, you should be using a designated hair towel. I've tried a bunch of different ones, and none compete with Crown Affair's. It's generously sized, so even when I had extra-long, hip-length hair it all fit within this hair wrap. I also like that it fastens with an elastic band rather than a button (which have popped off on other hair towels) and that the material is lightweight, soft and absorbent. It truly helps me cut down on drying time.

For a time-saving blowout

This blow-dryer brush adds volume at the same time it smoothes and dries hair for an easy at-home blowout. It also has a dry hair setting to straighten locks, which will work best on wavy to 3a hair types.

For an under-$50 option, you could go for the Revlon One-Step, which I've also tested and love, but you'll miss out on the smoothing function that makes Shark's tool worth the extra money.

For a festive hairdo

The Hair Edit has a bunch of cute claw clips and hair accessories that all feel much more expensive than they are. I've been wearing this golden clip since the summertime and always get compliments.

For sleek ponytails

I admit $22 for a few hair ties feels like a lot, so consider these a little luxury. The scrunchie-style ties are made with 100% silk that prevents tugging and creasing on your hair. When your hair isn't tied up, they also look much cuter on the wrist than your typical hair elastic.

Fragrance gifts

Gifting a fragrance can be tricky, so I recommend sticking to variety sets or familiar scents that already have a cult following (they’re popular for a reason!). If you want to branch out, fragrance trends have been favoring sweet scents and more subtle skin scents as of late.

For the fragrance fanatic

Some perfume samplers don't feel very glamorous, but this one does. Each mini vial makes a lovely trinket to keep in your bag, plus, the fragrances themselves include some of the most coveted designer scents. After you've sampled them all, you can cash in the included voucher for a full-size bottle of your favorite.

For the luxury lover

For a perfume that'll make you feel pretty, look to Yves Saint Laurent. This trio of travel sprays includes a scent for every occasion — Black Opium for date night, Libre for all-day wear and Mon Paris for something a touch sweeter.

For the cool girl

Glossier's signature scent, Glossier You, is a blend of clean, warm and spicy. It's the kind of fragrance that will cause people to stop you and ask what you're wearing. Keep them guessing with this discovery kit that includes two brand new fragrances, Glossier You Doux and Glossier You Rêve.

For smelling delicious

Gourmand scents have been having a moment in the fragrance world. This one is equally light and sweet, which means it won't overpower. It wears close to the skin in a cozy, intimate way — perfect for adding a warm touch during the holidays.

Nail care gifts

From press-on nails to the best nail polish for an at-home manicure, these gifts are perfect for some pampering.

For a classic manicure

When you can't make it to the nail salon, Mini Macaron's newly launched nail lacquers make it easy to get salon-worthy results at home. The shiny polish looks smooth and opaque with just a coat or two, and I've had it last a full week before chipping. This limited-edition holiday trio includes a pale-pink Blush, Pomegranate red and shimmery Silver, which will never go out of style.

Best Tested
For easy nail art

Glamnetic makes our favorite press-on nails. They come in dozens of designs, from minimalist French tips to trendy patterns, so you can achieve expensive-looking nail art without spending the extra time or money to have a set done. I get compliments on mine nearly every time I've done them (and I do them once a month).

For healthy natural nails

Manucurist makes some of my favorite nail polish that actually leaves my nails healthier than before. This kit includes everything to keep your natural nails in tip-top shape — a cuticle softener, nail serum, cuticle pusher, mini nail file and a sheer glow polish that makes your nails look bright and shiny.

For shaping and filing

Whether I'm doing press-ons or a fresh coat of polish, these nail tools help me shape, buff and file my nails every time. Since they're made from glass, they are gentler than your typical gritty file and buffer, and they just feel a bit more luxurious to use.
