Nomad has had a very busy year, filled with lots of new accessories for your iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods and more. And the famous accessory company isn’t done yet; it just dropped a new edition of its Sport band for the Apple Watch, and it’s one of the most unique that it’s shipped.

But if you want one, just know that you’ll need to get your order in ASAP.

The Nomad Strike Sport is a new take on Nomad's popular Apple Watch Sport band that comes in a range of attractive two-tone designs.

Pricing and (very) limited availability

The Strike Sport band is priced at $60 and is available for purchase from Nomad. It’s only available for the 49mm, 45mm, 44mm and 42mm Apple Watches, however, so if you own the smaller 38mm, 40mm or 41mm model, you’re out of luck.

I’d also like to mention that if you want one of these bands, you have to buy it ASAP. Nomad says this is a limited-edition color, and there’s no guarantee it’ll ever be available again after their supply runs out. With previous limited-edition bands, the company would tease that they would come back at some point, but in the email I received announcing the news, Nomad seemed to indicate this one won’t be returning.

Meet the Strike Sport band

The new Nomad Strike Sport band is an alternative take on the famous Sport band for the Apple Watch that has shipped in colors such as Blaze, Atlantic Blue and even glow-in-the-dark. It’s the first time Nomad has shipped a two-tone Apple Watch band, and the company has pulled off something totally different here.

The band features a base Lunar Gray finish that’s accented by a strike of either Ultra Orange, High Volta (a slightly tinted yellow) or Electric Blue. I was sent the blue, and it’s my favorite of the lineup. It’s a lower-profile Sport band than what the company usually ships, and the splash of color keeps things interesting. It’s perfect for anyone who might’ve been eyeing up an Ultra Orange or High Volta band but couldn’t commit to such a bold look.

Nomad told me that both colors run through the entire band so that you don’t have to worry about the accent chipping off or fading away. It also means that no two bands are alike: I looked at my unit closely and noticed that the blue wasn’t completely uniform on both parts of the band. It helps the strap feel even more personal and further adds to its uniqueness.

Besides that, this is the classic Sport band that Nomad is famous for. It’s made of an FKM fluoroelastomer rubber that’s comfortable, flexible and breathable so your wrist stays dry. The metal fastener adds a premium touch that also helps the band stay on your wrist during rigorous activities, and it’s completely waterproof so you can wear it wherever you are. I use these bands religiously with my Apple Watch, and I’m excited to add the Strike variant to my arsenal.
