When does Best Buy’s Black Friday sale start?
Today, Nov. 21, is the first day of the official Black Friday sale at Best Buy. There have been early deals rolling out over the past few weeks I’ve been digging into to cover, but today’s the first actual sale branded with official holiday pricing.
What can we expect from these Black Friday deals?
These deals aren’t limited to just members; those who have either of the paid Best Buy memberships will be able to get early access to the doorbusters. We’re expecting some of these limited-time deals to sell out quickly, so if you’re serious about scoring some of the best prices of the season, it’s worth signing up for one of the retailer’s loyalty accounts.
Why these deals are worth shopping
You can already shop the best prices of the year on tons of different gadgets. This year, retailers are calling it the Turkey 12, aka 12 days of deals that will run through Cyber Monday. So while Black Friday is still technically over a week away, the savings you’ll find now will largely be live through the start of December.
Will Best Buy have the best Black Friday deals?
I’ve been covering Black Friday for nearly a decade now. Competition has only heated up over the past few years, and that means Best Buy will be doing what it can to undercut prices from other retailers such as Amazon, Target and Walmart. Last year, Best Buy was able to offer even better prices for its paid membership holders thanks to bonus coupons that could be applied on top of cash discounts.
Best Buy will also be bringing back its popular Holiday Price Match Guarantee, so if other retailers offer a better deal, Best Buy will honor that discount. We still recommend shopping around to get the best deals this holiday season, but at the very least, Best Buy will be keeping up with other retailers if not besting the competition with all-time low prices.
