With the “Barbie” movie hitting theaters this week, we’ve finally reached peak Barbiecore. The aesthetic — named after the beloved doll — has permeated our beauty, fashion and even our homes, turning all our favorite products hot pink.

With makeup especially, there are so many ways to play with the trend. From Barbie doll-inspired looks to monochrome pink makeup, celebrities, makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts are having fun interpreting what Barbiecore means to them.

“Barbie represents independence, self discovery and PLAY, so I would absolutely consider all of the above when creating a Barbiecore makeup look,” says Michael Anthony, a celebrity makeup artist who works with Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and more. The key elements to a Barbiecore makeup look, according to the artist, are “glorifying pink, first and foremost, keeping a monochromatic color scheme and [having] fun!”

Not all pinks are created equal, however, so how can you choose the perfect Barbie pink to suit you? Celebrity makeup artist Tobi Henney says that “a brighter, more cool-toned pink works great on most skin tones.” Those with particularly fair complexions can opt for something lighter, she adds, while darker skin tones look great with a hot pink that is super pigmented.

With that in mind, check out the makeup artists’ 17 favorite Barbiecore beauty products below.

This highlighter wand “creates the prettiest and glowiest cheek for that Barbie look,” Henney says. “You simply dot it on the tops of the cheekbones and blend!”

Anthony loves this super blendable blush in this great universal pink shade. “I would use this at the top of the cheeks and up toward the temples,” he shares.

Celebrity makeup artist and Haus Labs global artistry director Sarah Tanno knows her way around a bold beauty look. For Barbiecore-inspired makeup, she says to apply this creamy eyeliner in Magenta Shimmer and White Onyx along the waterline to give a doll-like effect to your eyes.

"I cannot go without mentioning the lipsticks as this is a key element," Anthony says. "Once you try on Candy Yum Yum, you will be instantly transported to Barbie’s Dream House."

The MAC lipsticks are a favorite of Henney, too. "I love these lipsticks so much as the pigment is bright and the color stays on really well," the makeup artist says. She loves the pastel pink Saint Germain shade for a Barbiecore look.

Tanno loves this hot pink blush not only for the cheeks but for the eyes, too. She recommends swiping it over the cheekbones and eyelids, along with a touch of the Bio-Radiant Gel-Powder Highlighter in Rose Quartz for a cohesive look.

Margot Robbie’s makeup artist Pati Dubroff has been posting the star’s many Barbie-inspired looks while on the movie’s press tour. Dubroff recently shared that she used this moisturizing lip product for Robbie’s pink pout while at the London premiere.

“If you’re wanting a more gloss-type lip,” Henney shares, “I am obsessed with this formula, as it’s super hydrating to the lips and the color is so fun!”

Tanno says this best-selling foundation is ideal “for that perfect, doll-like skin. It has the most incredible ‘your skin but better’ effect.”

This viral pink blush may look next to neon in the pan but applies as a subtle pink shade that is perfect for building your Barbiecore makeup look.

“I also love shades of lavender and pastel blue that are involved in a Barbiecore look,” Anthony says. “These invoke a bright, youthful, vibrant effect. Try using a subtle lavender through the crease of the eye or at the very inner corner to make the eye makeup dynamic.”

Or if you want to stick to monochrome, MAC's Satin Eyeshadow in Girlie is a go-to for the MUA.

Henney loves this creamy and luminous highlighter. “It gives a glass-like glow and is so pretty to finish the Barbiecore makeup look,” she says. “You can also easily tap this on with the warmth of your fingertips and it blends really well with your makeup.”

Sheer and balmy, these blush sticks from Pat McGrath are perfect for building up a pink tint. Blend the color out with your fingers or swipe a fluffy blush brush over the stick and apply to the cheeks for a subtle veil of color.

Dubroff recently shared another product in her makeup artist’s kit. She uses a combination of the Transparent and Sculpting shades to add dimension to Robbie’s makeup.

Nyx’s Smooth Whip is a fan favorite, and now the matte lip color comes in Barbie-approved shades.

OPI’s collaboration with Barbie includes several punchy shades, including this hot pink polish aptly named Hi Barbie!

Henney recommends finishing off your Barbiecore beauty look with this mascara. According to the makeup artist, it’s great at “making your eyes look bigger and creating the illusion of longer lashes.”

To take your Barbiecore look up a notch, add hot pink highlights with this color stick (and the included hair clips and tinsel). Don't worry — it’ll rinse out in one wash!
