️⃣ Hyperactive star: An object spotted with the help of citizen scientists is moving so fast through the Milky Way that it could escape the gravity of the galaxy and reach intergalactic space. Experts think it’s probably a very low-mass star zooming along at a speed of about 1.3 million mph.

️⃣ Unhealthy food: Nearly two-thirds of supermarket baby foods in the US contain far too much sugar and salt and misleading marketing claims, a new study found. Almost none met World Health Organization standards for advertising, which require clear labeling of ingredients and accurate health information.

️⃣ Photo op: A small town in Japan that caught plenty of flak for its controversial move to block views of Mount Fuji has quietly reversed its decision. Fujikawaguchiko had put up a large black net a few months ago because it was overwhelmed by tourists taking photographs of the majestic mountain.

️⃣ EV strategy: Ford is making big changes to its electric vehicle plans, focusing on hybrids and affordability. The automaker said customers are increasingly price-conscious and range-anxious.

️⃣ Proud papas: Two male flamingos named Arthur and Curtis successfully hatched an egg together at a zoo in the United Kingdom. The chick is nearly a month old and appears to be thriving — take a look.
