• If you've been looking for a reason to howl, the super blood wolf moon is it. A total lunar eclipse -- already rare -- will happen at the same time as a supermoon (when the moon is full and closest to Earth). And because of factors you can dive into here, the moon will look red. The best views will be in North and South America, Europe and Africa. The roughly three-hour event starts at 10:35 p.m. ET.
• We'll know today who'll play in Super Bowl LIII (at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, in our 5 Things backyard!). It'll be the winners of the Rams at the Saints at 3:05 p.m. ET and the frigid Patriots-at-Chiefs matchup at 6:40 p.m. ET. The games are on Fox and CBS, respectively.
• As we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., consider turning your day off into a "day on" by participating in a local service project. Here are some ways you can make a difference.
• Prime Minister Theresa May goes back to Parliament to lay out her Brexit fallback plan. She's caught in a web of domestic politics and facing the clock to get a deal OK'd by United Kingdom lawmakers and European Union leaders before the March 29 deadline for the UK to leave the EU.
• The former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci will be on the celebrity edition of "Big Brother." The two-night premiere begins at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
• A few thousand of the world's richest and most influential people gather for four days in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum, the planet's most high-powered networking event. President Donald Trump canceled his Davos trip over the partial government shutdown.
• The Michigan man charged in Russia with espionage is due in court for a pretrial hearing. Paul Whelan is appealing his detention without bail. His family says he's innocent and was only vacationing in Russia.
• Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross reveal Oscars nominations in all 24 categories starting 8:20 a.m. ET. You can watch the livestream here. The awards show is February 24.
• Pope Francis travels to Panama for World Youth Day. He'll reportedly celebrate two Masses, visit young people in jail and spend time with those who have HIV. The five-day trip happens as the clergy sex abuse scandal continues to stun believers worldwide.
• The Presidents of Russia and Turkey are due to meet in Moscow to talk about US plans to withdraw from Syria, where so many factions are fighting it'll make your head spin. A suspected ISIS attack last week in Syria killed four Americans, but Trump said it won't change his plan for US troops to leave.
• If you're into indie flicks, you'll want to make your way to Park City, Utah. The annual Sundance Film Festival hosts an 11-day film frenzy.
• Tiger Woods makes his 2019 debut at the Farmers Insurance Open, which he's won seven times. Watch four days of top-notch play on the Golf Channel and CBS.
• SuperPipe. Slopestyle. Big Air. Extreme sports go on display in the four-day X Games Aspen competitions. Watch on ESPN and ABC.
• Attorneys for Trump's ex-campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, are due in a Washington courtroom to argue with federal prosecutors over whether Manafort violated his plea deal by lying to the FBI and special counsel Robert Mueller; Manafort says he was truthful. It's the latest wrinkle in the sprawling Russia probe.
• Yes, it seems like it's always hockey season. And this is one of the league's biggest nights, as the best in all four divisions face off, tournament-style, for a shot at a $1 million prize in the NHL All-Star Game. The final starts at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
