(CNN) British police arrested a man at London's Heathrow Airport on Thursday on suspicion of terrorism-related offenses, Metropolitan Police said.
The 30-year-old man was arrested by counterterrorism officers as he stepped off a flight from Istanbul, Turkey. They say he was suspected of preparing for terrorist acts and terrorist training.
Officers are searching an address in east London, the statement said.
The man is being held at a police station.
