(CNN) Adele picked the right audience member to sing with her recently at her Los Angeles concert.

The British superstar invited Jamie Grace, 24, onstage at the Staples Center not realizing Grace is a Grammy-nominated Christian artist.

In 2012, Grace received a nomination for "Best Contemporary Christian Song" for her single "Hold Me." That same year she won a Dove Award for Best New Artist.

But the evening in Los Angeles, Grace was just a fan lucky enough to score good seats when Adele invited her up.

And when Grace forgot the words to Adele's song "Remedy," music's biggest star-of-the-moment pitched in. Grace then sang a bit of the Elvis hit, "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You."

The Atlanta-based singer told Adele she and her sister sing along to her songs on YouTube. Adele was visibly impressed by her.

when @Adele says "sing some more. sing anything you want." and you get to sing your parent's "song" for her. I don't even have the words to say! but thank you #Adele. what a spiffy lil evenin:)

"I was excited and blown away and honored in general," Grace told ABC News. "I was nervous. I was excited. I was literally shaking."

Adele offered to chat with the singer later on Twitter.

Grace said the experience came at a time when she had been considering quitting the music industry.

She said she now feels inspired.

"Even though I have this recognition and this career, to be given the opportunity to sing for Adele's crowd...it was a reminder and an assurance that I do have a voice and the voice does matter," Grace said. "It was everything I needed."
