(CNN) Hillary Clinton's campaign will begin airing an ad this week that knocks Donald Trump for his response to the United Kingdom voting to leave the European Union.
"Every president is tested by world events but Donald Trump thinks about how he can profit from them," a narrator says.
The national cable ad, which was announced hours after Trump returned home from his two-day trip through Scotland to visit two of his golf resorts, hits Trump for touting the Brexit vote while markets crashed and and Americans lost more than $100 billion in 401(k) value on Friday.
"People want to take their country back and they want to have independence in a sense, and you see it in Europe, all over Europe," Trump had said.
But he also cast the vote as a positive for his own personal bottom line.
"If the pound goes down, they'll do more business," he said at his Turnberry golf resort. "I think places like Scotland and England, I think you're going to see a lot of activity. I think it could well turn out to be a positive. What is known is that they've taken back their independence. I thought this would be a good thing. Some don't like (it) and some do like it."
Pairing media reports of economic turmoil with Trump talking about how a weak pound means more business, a narrator says: "In a volatile world, the last thing we need is a volatile president."
Trump responded to the ad Sunday, tweeting: "Crooked Hillary Clinton, who called BREXIT 100% wrong (along with Obama), is now spending Wall Street money on an ad on my correct call. Clinton is trying to wash away her bad judgement call on BREXIT with big dollar ads. Disgraceful!"
He later added: "Crooked Hillary just took a major ad of me playing golf at Turnberry. Shows me hitting shot, but I never did = lie! Was there to support son"
The ad does not feature Clinton other than her taped endorsement at the end. She has still yet to respond live -- on TV or on the phone -- to the Brexit vote.
What the ad does feature: Trump talking about his world class sprinkler system at Turnberry.
